Restylane, Perlane©, Restylane Fine Lines© and Restylane-L
Restylane is intended for facial tissue augmentation. It is recommended for the correction of wrinkles and lip enhancement.
Perlane is intended for facial tissue augmentation. It is recommended for shaping the contours of the face, correcting folds and lip enhancement.
Restylane Fine Lines is intended for facial tissue augmentation. It is recommended for the correction of thin, superficial lines, for example periorbital lines, perioral lines, forehead lines and smile lines.
Restylane-L is intended to add volume to facial tissue. The product is to be used for the correction of wrinkles, lip enhancement and facial contour augmentation.
Important Safety Considerations for the Restylane family of products if you have a hypersensitivity to local anesthetics of the amide type, such as lidocaine, you should not use Restylane-L or Perlane-L™.
After your treatment, you might have some swelling, redness, pain, itching, discolouration, and tenderness at the site of treatment. This will typically last less than a week. Additionally, although rare, red or swollen small bumps may occur in some patients.
In rare circumstances, the doctor may inject into a blood vessel, which can damage the skin, or in very rare cases, cause a temporary loss of vision.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or under 18 years, you should not use the Restylane family of products.
The Restylane family of products should not be injected anywhere except the skin or just under the skin.
Like any injection in the skin, the implantation of the Restylane family of products carries a risk of infection.
The use of the Restylane family of products at the site of skin sores, pimples, rashes, hives, cysts or infection should be postponed until healing is complete.
Avoid exposure of the treated area to intense heat (such as solarium and sunbathing) or extreme cold until any initial swelling and redness have resolved.
For each treatment site, a maximum dosage of 0.8 mL of Restylane Fine Lines and of 2 mL of Restylane, Restylane-L, Perlane, and Perlane-L per treatment session is recommended.
The Restylane family of products should only be injected by a licensed health care professional. Ask your health care professional if the Restylane family of products is an appropriate treatment option for you, as it is not for everyone.
